Passionate Pursuit {day 3}: He loves me!

DSC00947When I was a little girl, and a not so little girl, I used to pluck the petals from a flower to see if the boy I had a crush on liked me.

‘He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not…’

If I ran out of petals on ‘He loves me not,’ I’d grab another flower and pluck away until my game ended the way I wanted it to… ‘He loves me.’ Whew!

Flower petals determined the destiny of my little girl love life.
Yes, I think I actually believed that those petals could be a sign…

What signs do we look for? To know we’re loved.

Isn’t it wonderful that every day and all day long we can shout from the rooftop – and tell our children –

Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so!

“… I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” (Jeremiah 31.3)
