Being a mom IS hard. And being a mom is FULL OF WONDER.
We didn’t make ourselves mothers. God performed this miracle.
He has an amazing plan for us, for our child and for our relationship.
Doesn’t it make sense to stay in really close touch with the One who created our child, knows every detail of our character and life – and has already written the days for all of us?
God alone knows the next minute.
A conversation opportunity. An impending challenge. An experience we won’t want to miss.
The way for us to handle…EVERYTHING…including our child – and our self.
He wants to walk with us. He wants us to walk with Him.
Throughout scripture, in creation and in our life experiences God reveals His desire for us to know Him. He made Himself known to mankind – before any of us were born.
“He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation… For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell…” (Colossians 1.15,19)
He wants us to know Him fully.
Better and better every day.
God wants us to know Him best. Way more than every person we know well.
No one pursues us to make themself known to us like God does.
His fully disclosing invitation sits on the table of our hearts. Do we accept or send our regrets?
In my morning devotional time, often I find myself jotting notes in my journal’s margin about it. Notes for me. Notes that I want to share with you. So that’s what I’m going to do here for the next few weeks. I pray you’re encouraged and challenged, like I am.
Why am I so passionate about this theme?
Knowing God is the key to raising our children.
Knowing God is the key to raising our children to know Jesus.
Knowing God is the key to living in relationship with our grown children – and their children.
Knowing God is the key to living our life to the fullest measure that God intends.
Knowing God is the key to eternal life.
We want to know you more. To know you best. Open our heart to pursue You with abandon. To live the life You’ve created us to live – with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
